Some individual fonts are known to crash the Generator so we blacklist these as well.We do not allow you to reprocess exisiting webfonts.Several foundries have asked to be blacklisted. We have implemented a blacklist system for a couple of reasons. Why am I getting an error that says my fonts can't be processed? You will not be able to convert fonts that are on our blacklist. You cannot upload a font that is greater than 2 megabytes. The Generator often cannot convert non-Latin fonts. Here's what you can't do with the Generator: The use of the Expert settings is fodder for another post. This will let you take full control over the fonts with a myriad of options for selecting formats, subsetting, CSS and more. If you are a power-user and need more control, then by all means use the Expert setting. We highly recommend you just leave it at Easy and enjoy the magic. The Easy setting will generate files that let you support all modern browsers. Note that some particular fonts are blacklisted. Or download the free command line tool for Mac OS X called Mac Binary Converter. StuffIt Deluxe will convert to both formats. To convert these, you must use a third-party utility. You can use the old resource-fork style Mac fonts (both TrueType and Postscript) as well, if you individually convert them to either macbinary (.bin) or binhex (.hqx) first. dfont format is supported but because they can contain multiple fonts, the Generator will only use the first one it finds in the file. Hope it helps somebody who encounters the same question. The Official "How to Use the Generator" Post Maybe good to mention that a lot of web safe fonts are already delivered with Odoo (I write this for noobs like myself) so without adding thing to your CSS file you can already choose a many custom fonts in you pages by for example addingĬreates COMIC SANCE in size 50 when choosing H1.this mentod you can also choose another one for H2 etc. We are pretty much there but still need to fully validate above method. Any H1 text on other pages will still be original font. When you now add a buildingblock to that page and add H1 text in that black it is in the custom lettertype. Via fontsquirrel you can upload a font (make sure you own of use free licence) and have the tool directly creaste an css file in your created package. We now figured it out our selves I think. If you did this the above HTML code should also allow to use that custom font (we are still checking, will update if we are wrong or found out more) Upload the whole kit to your server, in the kit there is a generated stylesheet.css which contains the code you can probably also add to the frontend.css which your theme uses. This method works for all websafe fonts, you can copy paste them here If you never use H6 on your website you may better declare H6 so you are still flexible to use H1 in the theme lettertype as well on that page if you want. You will see that each H1 text (on that page only) is concverted to comic sans 50px. If you add the following HTML code at the top of a page via the Odoo HTML editor:
